Treating New Spas

If you have a new spa…don’t use the Carefree Spa products for the first 30 days.

Here’s why.

New spas usually have manufacturing residues of silicon, Teflon, waxes, glues and other chemicals which cause the water to be hazy. This is easily handled with a chlorine starter kit which will eliminate the haziness and produce perfectly clear water.

We at Carefree Spa recommend you use the manufacturer’s recommendation for eliminating the “hazy stuff” in your new spa by doing the following:

  1. Buy a chlorine starter kit from the spa manufacturer or from your local spa and pool store. The kit will come with everything you need to keep your spa water perfectly clear and safe for the first 30 days.
  2. After you have used the chemicals for 30 days in a new spa, follow the 6 DAYS BEFORE YOU DRAIN instructions on the cover page of the Carefree instruction booklet. You will add Citri-Clean to that water to clean the plumbing of excess stuff that needs to be cleaned out. Drain the spa then follow the EVERY TIME YOU FILL YOUR SPA WITH NEW WATER instructions on the cover page of the Carefree instruction booklet.

Once you start using Naturel Spa, all you need to do is follow the recommended schedule. That’s it. It really is.
